Who are we?
The Ice Breakers Ski Club (New York, NY) is one of many clubs of the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS), whose mission is to identify, develop and support athletes of color in international and Olympic winter sports competition for the United States, and to increase participation in winter sports.
For more than 20 years, the Ice Breakers has skied the globe. We keep our skills sharp with the annual season opener "warmup" at a major ski school, plan day and weekend trips closer to home and cap off the season at "The Summit", which brings together thousands of NBS members from across the country for a week of winter sports fun. We ski at all levels and at least one day per trip we all ski together (the big dawgs complain, but they still participate).
Our group is intimate. A typical trip ranges from ten to 30 people, so by the end of the week, we all know each other. We concentrate on providing the best trip for your dollar, emphasizing fun, ski improvement and promoting winter sports in our community.
